Almost every ringgit you spend falls into flights, visa, accommodation, and daily spending. Get honest numbers for those four and the rest is rounding.
Flights
Dhaka–Kuala Lumpur is served by several airlines and prices swing with season and how early you book. Booking six to eight weeks out, avoiding Eid and the December peak, and being flexible by a day or two is worth more than any "deal" alert. A domestic KL–Langkawi hop, if you add it, is cheap when booked with the international ticket.
Visa
Malaysia's entry route for Bangladeshi passport holders shifts between eVISA and sticker visa depending on current policy. Budget for the government fee plus a service fee if you use an agent, and apply early — this is the part most likely to hold up a trip.
Accommodation
KL has a wide range: clean 3-star hotels in Bukit Bintang are inexpensive, while Langkawi beach resorts cost more, especially in high season. For a 5-day KL + Langkawi trip, mid-range hotels throughout keep the total sensible without feeling like backpacking.
Daily Spending
- Food — hawker and mall-court meals are cheap; sit-down restaurants in tourist areas cost more.
- Transport — KL's trains and Grab rides are inexpensive.
- Attractions — Petronas towers deck, the Langkawi cable car, and island-hopping boats each carry a modest ticket price.
A daily allowance in the low tens of US dollars per person covers food and local transport comfortably outside of shopping.
